The windows Bovard Studio restored for Our Lady of Victory Church are resplendent with detail, complete with nameplates and canopies. We performed full restorations of several of their Munich style stained glass as well as crafted new windows for their facility.
Did you know that Bovard Studio makes light boxes? We have the full capability to design and craft custom windows as well as build a secure light box to house your art. Not all facilities have accessible natural light, but a light box can shine any time of day and in any location. This light box was made for a fully restored window that was installed at Our Lady of Victory Church in Floral Park, NY.
Our custom stained glass windows look great in the natural light! Two more windows are completed for our clients in Edisto Island. The blue plating on the figures in the wedding of Cana gives the couple just the right hue to blend with the cool background colors. Also note the heron in the miraculous catch of fish, where our painter expertly matched the painted orange on the face with the orange glass of the beak!

Bovard Studio is pleased to announce that Burt Chojnowski is replacing Linn Cornick who is retiring as company president. Linn was general manager for Bovard Studio in the early 1990s and returned to serve as company president in 2010.
“We are looking forward to accelerated growth and expansion under Burt’s leadership”, Bovard Studio founder Ron Bovard stated.
Burt Chojnowski brings decades of experience as an entrepreneur, dynamic C-level executive and as an award-winning digital artist. Burt has garnered over 25 international awards for his short documentary films.
Burt’s contributions to the Fairfield community include his role as President of the Fairfield Entrepreneurs Association, founder of the Fairfield Entrepreneur Hall of Fame and co-founder of the Fairfield Cultural Alliance. Burt was a member of the 2003 Fairfield Strategic Planning Committee and was instrumental in securing Fairfield as an Iowa Great Place with its notable cultural and entertainment district designations. Burt’s article, “How We Turned Fairfield into A Rural Renaissance City” was featured in the International Economic Development Journal.
Burt serves as founder board member of Iowa Community Capital, a state-wide non-profit, that operates a micro-enterprise loan programs for immigrant women in Central Iowa.
Bovard Studio founded in Fairfield in 1985 by Ron Bovard, creates and restores stained glass windows and glazing systems in historic buildings such as churches, court houses, temples and government buildings. Bovard Studio’s work can be seen in 49 of the 50 states including Alaska and Hawaii, as well as internationally.
Take a look at the back-side of our custom stained glass window we made for a church in Edisto Island, SC. Different techniques are used specifically on this exterior-facing side. Plating, or the stacking of multiple glass layers has been used to obtain a unique glass color. Obscuring white, which is a thin layer of paint, is used to make the flesh pieces more opaque and eye-catching.
Bovard’s talented field crew go to lengths to install our windows! This particular job had our crew installing louvers, birdscreens, and protective covering for a colossal tower belonging to Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods in Indiana. Note Bovard Studios gifted crafts people installing windows from the work basket at the top of the crane.
A hungry heron adds a regional touch to this custom stained glass window being created for St. Frederick & St. Stephen Church in South Carolina. The catch of fish also features some weird and wonderful species that frequent the coastal waters of South Carolina.
